Trekking will take you through the places that have captured the imagination of mountaineers and explorers for more than 100 years. Along small mountain villages, birds, animals, temples, monasteries and breathtaking landscapes, you will also encounter friendly people of different cultures-offering a fascinating glimpse of traditional rural life.

Trek can last from two days to a month or more, and the first consideration will be to choose a trek that fits into your available time.

You will also need to strike a balance between the periods of best weather for the area you wish to trek and the difficulty you can physically tackle on.

While trekking, you will follow the routes, where you can stare at the wonders of the world's highest mountains.

Although trekking in Nepal can be organized throughout the year, October through May are considered to be the best months for trekking.

Trekking in Nepal need not be considered risky affair as far as your health is concerned. But very little medical care along the trail is available, so make sure you are physically fit and healthy before departing. In case of serious illness or injury, prompt evacuation to Kathmandu is the best remedy. Helicopter rescue service is extremely expensive. Neither the Nepalese government, your embassy or the trekking agency is responsible for the bill. Therefore, you are requested to insure for rescue operation also.
